आकाङ्क्षन्ते च दौहित्रान अपि नित्यं पितामहाः तान सवयं वै परित्रास्ये रक्षन्ती जीवितं पितुः ।। १-१४७-६ ।।

sanskrit

'The ancestors seek grandsons through daughters like me (as a means of salvation). But I will ensure their salvation by protecting my father's life.' ।। 1-147-6 ।।

english translation

AkAGkSante ca dauhitrAna api nityaM pitAmahAH tAna savayaM vai paritrAsye rakSantI jIvitaM pituH || 1-147-6 ||

'My brother is still young, and there is little doubt that he will perish if you die now. If you, my father, pass away and my brother follows you, the ancestral offerings will be suspended, greatly harming our ancestors.' ।। 1-147-7 ।।
