[दुह्सन्त] सुव्यक्तं राजपुत्री तवं यथा कल्याणि भाषसे भार्या मे भव सुश्रॊणि बरूहि किं करवाणि ते ॥ १-६७-१ ॥

'Dushmanta responded, "O radiant and flawless one, it is my heartfelt desire for you to become the companion of my life. Understand that my existence is intertwined with yours, and my heart finds its home in you."' ॥ 1-67-1 ॥

सुवर्णमाला वासांसि कुण्डले परिहाटके नानापत्तनजे शुभ्रे मणिरत्ने च शॊभने ॥ १-६७-२ ॥

'Draped in golden garments, adorned with a necklace, earrings, and various auspicious and radiant gem-studded ornaments.' ॥ 1-67-2 ॥

आहरामि तवाद्याहं निष्कादीन्य अजिनानि च सर्वं राज्यं तवाद्यास्तु भार्या मे भव शॊभने ॥ १-६७-३ ॥

'Today, I bring for you gold and precious skins, and all my kingdom is yours now. O radiant one, become my wife.' ॥ 1-67-3 ॥

गान्धर्वेण च मां भीरु विवाहेनैहि सुन्दरि विवाहानां हि रम्भॊरु गान्धर्वः शरेष्ठ उच्यते ॥ १-६७-४ ॥

'Fear not, O beautiful one, for marriage through Gandharva tradition is considered the most excellent form of union, my beloved.' ॥ 1-67-4 ॥

[षक] फलाहारॊ गतॊ राजन पिता मे इत आश्रमात तं मुहूर्तं परतीक्षस्व स मां तुभ्यं परदास्यति ॥ १-६७-५ ॥

'Sakuntala, hearing this, said, My father has gone to fetch fruits, O King, from the hermitage. Wait for that moment, and he will present me to you.' ॥ 1-67-5 ॥
