गुरॊर भीतॊ विद्यया चॊपहूतः; शनैर वाचं जठरे वयाजगार तम अब्रवीत केन पथॊपनीतॊ; ममॊदरे तिष्ठसि बरूहि विप्र ॥ १-७१-४१ ॥
'But Kacha, summoned by the power of knowledge and fearful of the repercussions for his teacher, timidly responded from within his preceptor's belly.' ॥ 1-71-41 ॥
english translation
[क] भवत्प्रसादान न जहाति मां समृतिः; समरे च सर्वं यच च यथा च वृत्तम न तव एवं सयात तपसॊ वययॊ मे; ततः कलेशं घॊरम इमं सहामि ॥ १-७१-४२ ॥
'[Kacha said] By your grace, my memory does not fail me; I remember everything as it happened, both in peace and in battle. But if it is not your wish, I shall expend my penance and bear this dreadful hardship.' ॥ 1-71-42 ॥

असुरैः सुरायां भवतॊ ऽसमि दत्तॊ; हत्वा दग्ध्वा चूर्णयित्वा च काव्य बराह्मीं मायाम आसुरी चैव माया; तवयि सथिते कथम एवातिवर्तेत ॥ १-७१-४३ ॥
'By the Asuras, I was given to you, O sage, after being killed, burned, and pulverized. How could the Brahminical magic and the Asuric illusion prevail over you, when you are present and embody such power?' ॥ 1-71-43 ॥
english translation
[ष] किं ते परियं करवाण्य अद्य वत्से; वधेन मे जीवितं सयात कचस्य नान्यत्र कुक्षेर मम भेदनेन; दृश्येत कचॊ मद्गतॊ देव यानि ॥ १-७१-४४ ॥
'Hearing this, Sukra said, "O daughter, what good can I do for you? It is through my demise that Kacha can regain his life. O Devayani, Kacha resides even within me. . There is no other way of his coming out except by ripping open my stomach."' ॥ 1-71-44 ॥

[देव] दवौ मां शॊकाव अग्निकल्पौ दहेतां; कचस्य नाशस तव चैवॊपघातः कचस्य नाशे मम नास्ति शर्म; तवॊपघाते जीवितुं नास्मि शक्ता ॥ १-७१-४५ ॥
'[The deity said,] "Both of you are like blazing fires of sorrow, consuming me; Kacha's destruction and your affliction. In Kacha's demise, I find no solace; in your suffering, I find no strength to live."' ॥ 1-71-45 ॥
