[ष] संसिद्ध रूपॊ ऽसि बृहस्पतेः सुत; यत तवां भक्तं भजते देव यानी विद्याम इमां पराप्नुहि जीवनीं तवं; न चेद इन्द्रः कच रूपी तवम अद्य ॥ १-७१-४६ ॥
'Then Sukra spoke, "O son of Brihaspati, you are truly destined for greatness, as Devayani holds you in such high esteem. Receive the knowledge I am about to bestow upon you today, assuming you are not Indra disguised as Kacha."' ॥ 1-71-46 ॥

न निवर्तेत पुनर जीवन कश चिद अन्यॊ ममॊदरात बराह्मणं वर्जयित्वैकं तस्माद विद्याम अवाप्नुहि ॥ १-७१-४७ ॥
'There is no returning to life again from my belly for anyone else. Therefore, setting aside the Brahmin, acquire the knowledge.' ॥ 1-71-47 ॥
english translation
पुत्रॊ भूत्वा भावय भावितॊ माम; अस्माद देहाद उपनिष्क्रम्य तात समीक्षेथा धर्मवतीम अवेक्षां; गुरॊः सकाशात पराप्य विद्यां सविद्यः ॥ १-७१-४८ ॥
'No one can emerge alive from my stomach, except a Brahmana should not be killed. Hence, receive the knowledge I am about to impart to you. Emerge into life as if you were my son. Equipped with the knowledge I give and rejuvenated by my action, ensure that upon your departure from my body, you conduct yourself with grace.' ॥ 1-71-48 ॥

[व] गुरॊः सकाशात समवाप्य विद्यां; भित्त्वा कुक्षिं निर्विचक्राम विप्रः कचॊ ऽभिरूपॊ दक्षिणं बराह्मणस्य; शुक्लात्यये पौर्णमास्याम इवेन्दुः ॥ १-७१-४९ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, "After being endowed with the knowledge from his mentor, the strikingly handsome Kacha tore through the stomach to emerge, much like the moon gracing the evening sky on the full moon day of the bright fortnight."' ॥ 1-71-49 ॥

दृष्ट्वा च तं पतितं बरह्मराशिम; उत्थापयाम आस मृतं कचॊ ऽपि विद्यां सिद्धां ताम अवाप्याभिवाद्य; ततः कचस तं गुरुम इत्य उवाच ॥ १-७१-५० ॥
'Observing his preceptor's body lying amidst a pile of entrails, resembling a mound of accumulated austerities, Kacha used the knowledge he had acquired to revive him. With reverence, Kacha worshipped his preceptor and then spoke to him.' ॥ 1-71-50 ॥
