राजा च राज्ञः सचिवाश च सर्वे; पुत्राश च राज्ञः सुहृदस तथैव परेष्याश च सर्वे निखिलेन राजन; हर्षं समापेतुर अतीव तत्र ॥ १-१८६-११ ॥
'The king, his ministers, his son, and his friends and attendants, all filled with great joy, beholding those men with lion-like strides, wearing deer-skin upper garments, eyes like those of mighty bulls, and arms resembling the bodies of powerful snakes.' ॥ 1-186-11 ॥

ते तत्र वीराः परमासनेषु; सपाद पीठेष्व अविशङ्कमानाः यथानुपूर्व्या विविशुर नराग्र्यास; तदा महार्हेषु न विस्मयन्तः ॥ १-१८६-१२ ॥
'Those heroes sat on splendid seats adorned with footstools, displaying no awkwardness or hesitation. They sat fearlessly on those expensive seats in succession, according to their age order, like noble kings of old.' ॥ 1-186-12 ॥

उच्चावचं पार्थिव भॊजनीयं; पात्रीषु जाम्बूनदराजतीषु दासाश च दास्यश च सुमृष्टवेषा; भॊजापकाश चाप्य उपजह्रुर अन्नम ॥ १-१८६-१३ ॥
'After those heroes were seated, well-dressed male and female servants and skilled cooks brought excellent and costly dishes worthy of kings on plates made of gold and silver.' ॥ 1-186-13 ॥

ते तत्र भुक्त्वा पुरुषप्रवीरा; यथानुकामं सुभृशं परतीताः उत्क्रम्य सर्वाणि वसूनि तत्र; सांग्रामिकान्य आविविशुर नृवीराः ॥ १-१८६-१४ ॥
'Then those foremost men dined on those delicacies and were greatly pleased. After the meal, those heroic men, overlooking all other items, began to examine the various weapons and implements of war with interest.' ॥ 1-186-14 ॥

तल लक्षयित्वा दरुपदस्य पुत्रॊ; राजा च सर्वैः सह मन्त्रिमुख्यैः समर्चयाम आसुर उपेत्य हृष्टाः; कुन्तीसुतान पार्थिव पुत्रपौत्रान ॥ १-१८६-१५ ॥
'Observing this, Drupada's son and Drupada himself, along with all his chief ministers, recognizing the sons of Kunti as of royal lineage, were exceedingly delighted.' ॥ 1-186-15 ॥
