मान्यः पुरॊधा दरुपदस्य राज्ञस; तस्मै परयॊज्याभ्यधिकैव पूजा भीमस तथा तत कृतवान नरेन्द्र; तां चैव पूजां परतिसंगृहीत्वा ॥ १-१८५-२१ ॥
'"He is King Drupada's priest and deserves utmost respect. We should honor him with more than usual reverence." Following these words, O monarch, Bhima carried out the instructions. The Brahmana accepted the worship offered to him with a joyful heart and sat comfortably at ease.' ॥ 1-185-21 ॥

सुखॊपविष्टं तु पुरॊहितं तं; युधिष्ठिरॊ बराह्मणम इत्य उवाच पाञ्चालराजेन सुता निसृष्टा; सवधर्मदृष्टेन यथानुकामम ॥ १-१८५-२२ ॥
'Then Yudhishthira spoke to the priest, saying, "The king of Panchala has given away his daughter with a specified dower, following the customs of his lineage rather than freely. This hero has fulfilled that requirement and thus won the princess."' ॥ 1-185-22 ॥

परदिष्ट शुल्का दरुपदेन राज्ञा; सानेन वीरेण तथानुवृत्ता न तत्र वर्णेषु कृता विवक्षा; न जीव शिल्पे न कुले न गॊत्रे ॥ १-१८५-२३ ॥
'Therefore, King Drupada has no further questions regarding the lineage, clan, family, or character of the one who accomplished this feat.' ॥ 1-185-23 ॥

कृतेन सज्येन हि कार्मुकेण; विद्धेन लक्ष्येण च संनिसृष्टा सेयं तथानेन महात्मनेह; कृष्णा जिता पार्थिव संघमध्ये ॥ १-१८५-२४ ॥
'Indeed, all his inquiries have been resolved by the act of stringing the bow and hitting the target. It was by fulfilling his instructions that this illustrious hero has taken Krishna away from amidst the gathered kings.' ॥ 1-185-24 ॥

नैवं गते सौमकिर अद्य राजा; संतापम अर्हत्य असुखाय कर्तुम कामश च यॊ ऽसौ दरुपसद्य राज्ञः; स चापि संपत्स्यति पार्थिवस्य ॥ १-१८५-२५ ॥
'Under these circumstances, the king of the Lunar race should refrain from indulging in regrets, as they would only serve to make him unhappy without resolving anything.' ॥ 1-185-25 ॥
