नानाभावा बहवॊ जीवलॊके; दैवाधीना नष्टचेष्टाधिकाराः तत तत पराप्य न विहन्येत धीरॊ; दिष्टं बलीय इति मत्वात्म बुद्ध्या ॥ १-८४-६ ॥
'In the diverse world of living beings, many have different destinies. Subject to fate, some have lost their authority through their own actions. Therefore, a wise person should not destroy others for their own gain, thinking, "I am powerful."' ॥ 1-84-6 ॥

सुखं हि जन्तुर यदि वापि दुःखं; दैवाधीनं विन्दति नात्म शक्त्या तस्माद दिष्टं बलवन मन्यमानॊ; न संज्वरेन नापि हृष्येत कदा चित ॥ १-८४-७ ॥
'In this world, individuals possess diverse natures. Destiny reigns supreme, rendering both power and effort ultimately futile. Recognizing the supremacy of destiny, the wise, regardless of their circumstances, should neither boast nor despair.' ॥ 1-84-7 ॥

दुःखे न तप्येन न सुखेन हृष्येत; समेन वर्तेत सदैव धीरः दिष्टं बलीय इति मन्यमानॊ; न संज्वरेन नापि हृष्येत कदा चित ॥ १-८४-८ ॥
'When beings understand that their prosperity and adversity are dictated by destiny, not their efforts or strength, they should neither mourn nor rejoice, acknowledging the omnipotence of destiny. The wise should live contentedly, neither lamenting misfortune nor celebrating fortune.' ॥ 1-84-8 ॥

भये न मुह्याम्य अष्टकाहं कदा चित; संतापॊ मे मानसॊ नास्ति कश चित धाता यथा मां विदधाति लॊके; धरुवं तथाहं भवितेति मत्वा ॥ १-८४-९ ॥
'In the supremacy of Destiny, both sorrow and joy are inappropriate. O Ashtaka, I never allow myself to be swayed by fear, nor do I harbor grief, knowing with certainty that I shall be in the world as ordained by the great dispenser of all.' ॥ 1-84-9 ॥

संस्वेदजा अण्डजा उद्भिदाश च; सरीसृपाः कृमयॊ ऽथाप्सु मत्स्याः तथाश्मानस तृणकाष्ठं च सर्वं; दिष्ट कषये सवां परकृतिं भजन्ते ॥ १-८४-१० ॥
'Creatures born from sweat, eggs, embryos, and sprouts, as well as those dwelling in water and insects—all, indeed, worship their own inherent nature according to their predispositions.' ॥ 1-84-10 ॥
