भये न मुह्याम्य अष्टकाहं कदा चित; संतापॊ मे मानसॊ नास्ति कश चित धाता यथा मां विदधाति लॊके; धरुवं तथाहं भवितेति मत्वा ।। १-८४-९ ।।

sanskrit

'In the supremacy of Destiny, both sorrow and joy are inappropriate. O Ashtaka, I never allow myself to be swayed by fear, nor do I harbor grief, knowing with certainty that I shall be in the world as ordained by the great dispenser of all.' ।। 1-84-9 ।।

english translation

bhaye na muhyAmya aSTakAhaM kadA cita; saMtApò me mAnasò nAsti kaza cita dhAtA yathA mAM vidadhAti lòke; dharuvaM tathAhaM bhaviteti matvA || 1-84-9 ||
