यथा सूर्यांशुभिः सपृष्टं सर्वं शुचि विभाव्यते तथा तवद अर्चिर निर्दग्धं सर्वं शुचि भविष्यति ॥ १-७-२१ ॥
'And as everything touched by the sun's rays becomes pure, so shall everything be pure that shall be burnt by thy flames.'॥ 1-7-21 ॥
english translation
yathA sUryAMzubhiH sapRSTaM sarvaM zuci vibhAvyate tathA tavada arcira nirdagdhaM sarvaM zuci bhaviSyati ॥ 1-7-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतद अग्ने तवं महत तेजः सवप्रभावाद विनिर्गतम सवतेजसैव तं शापं कुरु सत्यम ऋषेर विभॊ देवानां चात्मनॊ भागं गृहाण तवं मुखे हुतम ॥ १-७-२२ ॥
'You, O fire, are the supreme energy, born of your inherent power. Therefore, O Lord, manifest that power of yours to fulfill the sage's curse. Keep receiving your rightful portion and that of the gods offered at your divine mouth.'॥ 1-7-22 ॥
english translation
tada agne tavaM mahata tejaH savaprabhAvAda vinirgatama savatejasaiva taM zApaM kuru satyama RSera vibhò devAnAM cAtmanò bhAgaM gRhANa tavaM mukhe hutama ॥ 1-7-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवम अस्त्व इति तं वह्निः परत्युवाच पितामहम जगाम शासनं कर्तुं देवस्य परमेष्ठिनः ॥ १-७-२३ ॥
'Then Agni replied to the Grandfather, 'So be it.' And he then went away to obey the command of the supreme Lord.'॥ 1-7-23 ॥
english translation
evama astva iti taM vahniH paratyuvAca pitAmahama jagAma zAsanaM kartuM devasya parameSThinaH ॥ 1-7-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवर्षयश च मुदितास ततॊ जग्मौर यथागतम ऋषयश च यथापूर्वं करियाः सर्वाः परचक्रिरे ॥ १-७-२४ ॥
'The divine sages, pleased, then proceeded as before, rejoicing, to their respective duties, just as they had done previously.'॥ 1-7-24 ॥
english translation
devarSayaza ca muditAsa tatò jagmaura yathAgatama RSayaza ca yathApUrvaM kariyAH sarvAH paracakrire ॥ 1-7-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदिवि देवा मुमुदिरे भूतसंघाश च लौकिकाः अग्निश च परमां परीतिम अवाप हतकल्मषः ॥ १-७-२५ ॥
'And the gods in heaven and all creatures of the world rejoiced exceedingly. And Agni too rejoiced in that he was free from the prospect of sin.'॥ 1-7-25 ॥
english translation
divi devA mumudire bhUtasaMghAza ca laukikAH agniza ca paramAM parItima avApa hatakalmaSaH ॥ 1-7-25 ॥
