एवम एष पुरावृत्त इतिहासॊ ऽगनिशापजः पुलॊमस्य विनाशश च चयवनस्य च संभवः ॥ १-७-२६ ॥

'In ancient times, Agni, the possessor of the six attributes, had indeed been cursed by Bhrigu. Thus unfolds the age-old tale of the demise of the Rakshasa Pauloma and the subsequent birth of Chyavana.'॥ 1-7-26 ॥

evama eSa purAvRtta itihAsò 'ganizApajaH pulòmasya vinAzaza ca cayavanasya ca saMbhavaH ॥ 1-7-26 ॥
