अनृते चेत परसङ्गस ते शरद्दधासि न चेत सवयम आत्मनॊ हन्त गच्छामि तवादृशे नास्ति संगतम ।। १-६९-२६ ।।

'If you abandon truth and associate with falsehood, you will destroy yourself. I would rather die than associate with someone like you; there is no companionship for one like me with someone like you.' ।। 1-69-26 ।।

english translation

anRte ceta parasaGgasa te zaraddadhAsi na ceta savayama Atmanò hanta gacchAmi tavAdRze nAsti saMgatama || 1-69-26 ||

'Vaisampayana continued, 'Sakuntala having spoken to the monarch in this wise, left his presence. But as soon as she had left, a voice from the skies, emanating from no visible shape, thus spoke unto Dushmanta as he was sitting surrounded by his occasional and household priests, his preceptors, and ministers.' ।। 1-69-28 ।।

[va] etAvada uktvA vacanaM parAtiSThata zakuntalA athAntarikSe duHSantaM vAga uvAcAzarIriNI Rtvika puròhitAcAryaira mantribhiza cAvRtaM tadA || 1-69-28 ||

'The voice declared, 'The mother is merely the vessel of flesh; the son, born of the father, is indeed the father himself. Hence, O Dushyanta, embrace your son and do not dishonor Shakuntala." ।। 1-69-29 ।।
