वसॊः पत्नी तु गिरिका कामात काले नयवेदयत ऋतुकालम अनुप्राप्तं सनाता पुंसवने शुचिः ।। १-५७-३६ ।।

'And Girika, the wife of Vasu, after her menstrual course, purifying herself by a bath, represented her state unto her lord.' ।। 1-57-36 ।।

english translation

vasòH patnI tu girikA kAmAta kAle nayavedayata RtukAlama anuprAptaM sanAtA puMsavane zuciH || 1-57-36 ||

'While roaming in the beautiful forest during the spring season, his semen was discharged. The woods, where the king was wandering, had become delightful, resembling the gardens of the king of the Gandharvas himself. Subsequently, by a tree leaf, the king's son covered it.' ।। 1-57-39 ।।

tasya retaH paracaskanda caratò rucire vane sakanna mAtraM ca tada retò vRkSapatreNa bhUmipaH || 1-57-39 ||

'The king pondered, 'I cannot falsely discharge my semen,' while his wife assured him, 'The season is not in vain for me.' With these thoughts, the discerning monarch made his decision.' ।। 1-57-40 ।।
