स पितॄणां नियॊगं तम अव्यतिक्रम्य पार्थिवः चचार मृगयां कामी गिरिकाम एव संस्मरन अतीव रूपसंपन्नां साक्षाच छरियम इवापराम ।। १-५७-३८ ।।

sanskrit

'And the king, thinking that the command of the Pitris should not be disobeyed, went a-hunting thinking of Girika alone who was gifted with great beauty and like unto another Sri herself.' ।। 1-57-38 ।।

english translation

sa pitRRNAM niyògaM tama avyatikramya pArthivaH cacAra mRgayAM kAmI girikAma eva saMsmarana atIva rUpasaMpannAM sAkSAca chariyama ivAparAma || 1-57-38 ||
