परतिजग्राह मिथ्या मे न सकंदेद रेत इत्य उत ऋतुश च तस्या पत्न्या मे न मॊघः सयाद इति परभुः ।। १-५७-४० ।।

sanskrit

'The king pondered, 'I cannot falsely discharge my semen,' while his wife assured him, 'The season is not in vain for me.' With these thoughts, the discerning monarch made his decision.' ।। 1-57-40 ।।

english translation

paratijagrAha mithyA me na sakaMdeda reta itya uta Rtuza ca tasyA patnyA me na mòghaH sayAda iti parabhuH || 1-57-40 ||
