पराङ्मुखॊ भगवान आस्ते दक्षिणेन महेश्वरः ॥ १-२०३-२१ ॥
'The illustrious Brahman was then sitting with face turned eastwards, and Mahadeva with face also towards the east.' ॥ 1-203-21 ॥
english translation
देवाश चैवॊत्तरेणासन सर्वतस तव ऋषयॊ ऽभवन कुर्वन्त्या तु तया तत्र मण्डलं तत परदक्षिणम इन्द्रः सथाणुश च भगवान धैर्येण परत्यवस्थितौ ॥ १-२०३-२२ ॥
'The gods positioned themselves to the north, while the sages surrounded the assembly. As she performed her reverential circumambulation, Lord Indra and the revered Sthanu (Shiva) stood firm, maintaining their composure.' ॥ 1-203-22 ॥
english translation
दरष्टुकामस्य चात्यर्थं गतायाः पार्श्वतस तदा अन्यद अञ्चितपक्ष्मान्तं दक्षिणं निःसृतं मुखम ॥ १-२०३-२३ ॥
'But Mahadeva was intensely desirous of seeing Tilottama, so when the maiden circled the celestial assembly and approached his side, another face resembling a fully bloomed lotus appeared on the southern side of his body.' ॥ 1-203-23 ॥

पृष्ठतः परिवर्तन्त्याः पश्चिमं निःसृतं मुखम गतायाश चॊत्तरं पार्श्वम उत्तरं निःसृतं मुखम ॥ १-२०३-२४ ॥
'And when she was behind him, another face appeared on the west.' ॥ 1-203-24 ॥

महेन्द्रस्यापि नेत्राणां पार्श्वतः पृष्ठतॊ ऽगरतः रक्तान्तानां विशालानां सहस्रं सर्वतॊ ऽभवत ॥ १-२०३-२५ ॥
'When the maiden was on the northern side of the great god, a fourth face emerged on the northern side of his body. Mahadeva, eager to behold the maiden, then appeared with a thousand eyes, each large and slightly reddish, positioned in front, behind, and on his flanks.' ॥ 1-203-25 ॥
