सा विग्रहवतीव शरीः कान्त रूपा वपुष्मती जहार सर्वभूतानां चक्षूंषि च मनांसि च ॥ १-२०३-१६ ॥
'Resplendent like the embodied Sri herself, that maiden of extraordinary beauty captivated the eyes and hearts of every creature.' ॥ 1-203-16 ॥
english translation
sA vigrahavatIva zarIH kAnta rUpA vapuSmatI jahAra sarvabhUtAnAM cakSUMSi ca manAMsi ca ॥ 1-203-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतिलं तिलं समानीय रत्नानां यद विनिर्मिता तिलॊत्तमेत्य अतस तस्या नाम चक्रे पितामहः ॥ १-२०३-१७ ॥
'Because she had been created with minute portions of every gem, the Grandsire bestowed upon her the name Tilottama.' ॥ 1-203-17 ॥

tilaM tilaM samAnIya ratnAnAM yada vinirmitA tilòttametya atasa tasyA nAma cakre pitAmahaH ॥ 1-203-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[पितामह] गच्छ सुन्दॊपसुन्दाभ्याम असुराभ्यां तिलॊत्तमे परार्थनीयेन रूपेण कुरु भद्रे परलॊभनम ॥ १-२०३-१८ ॥
'As soon as she was brought to life, the maiden bowed to Brahma and with folded hands said, "Lord of all creation, what task am I to fulfill and for what purpose have I been created?"' ॥ 1-203-18 ॥

[pitAmaha] gaccha sundòpasundAbhyAma asurAbhyAM tilòttame parArthanIyena rUpeNa kuru bhadre paralòbhanama ॥ 1-203-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतवत्कृते दर्शनाद एव रूपसंपत कृतेन वै विरॊधः सयाद यथा ताभ्याम अन्यॊन्येन तथा कुरु ॥ १-२०३-१९ ॥
'Create such a being that, by the mere sight of its perfect form, those two will be driven into mutual conflict.' ॥ 1-203-19 ॥

tavatkRte darzanAda eva rUpasaMpata kRtena vai viròdhaH sayAda yathA tAbhyAma anyònyena tathA kuru ॥ 1-203-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[नारद] सा तथेति परतिज्ञाय नमस्कृत्य पितामहम चकार मण्डलं तत्र विबुधानां परदक्षिणम ॥ १-२०३-२० ॥
'Narada recounted: After consenting with 'So be it' and bowing to Pitamaha (Brahma), she reverently circled the assembly of celestial beings.' ॥ 1-203-20 ॥
