एवं चतुर्मुखः सथाणुर महादेवॊ ऽभवत पुरा तथा सहस्रनेत्रश च बभूव बलसूदनः ।। १-२०३-२६ ।।

sanskrit

'In this way, in ancient times, Sthanu (Shiva) the great god acquired four faces, while the slayer of Bala (Indra) gained a thousand eyes.' ।। 1-203-26 ।।

evaM caturmukhaH sathANura mahAdevò 'bhavata purA tathA sahasranetraza ca babhUva balasUdanaH || 1-203-26 ||

'And the assembly of celestials and sages, as Tilottama circled around them, turned their faces in all directions to behold her.' ।। 1-203-27 ।।
