एवं चतुर्मुखः सथाणुर महादेवॊ ऽभवत पुरा तथा सहस्रनेत्रश च बभूव बलसूदनः ॥ १-२०३-२६ ॥
'In this way, in ancient times, Sthanu (Shiva) the great god acquired four faces, while the slayer of Bala (Indra) gained a thousand eyes.' ॥ 1-203-26 ॥
english translation
evaM caturmukhaH sathANura mahAdevò 'bhavata purA tathA sahasranetraza ca babhUva balasUdanaH ॥ 1-203-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथा देव निकायानाम ऋषीणां चैव सर्वशः मुखान्य अभिप्रवर्तन्ते येन याति तिलॊत्तमा ॥ १-२०३-२७ ॥
'And the assembly of celestials and sages, as Tilottama circled around them, turned their faces in all directions to behold her.' ॥ 1-203-27 ॥
english translation
tathA deva nikAyAnAma RSINAM caiva sarvazaH mukhAnya abhipravartante yena yAti tilòttamA ॥ 1-203-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्या गात्रे निपतिता तेषां दृष्टिर महात्मनाम सर्वेषाम एव भूयिष्ठम ऋते देवं पितामहम ॥ १-२०३-२८ ॥
'Except the divine Grandsire himself, the glances of those illustrious personages, even of all of them fell upon Tilottama's body.' ॥ 1-203-28 ॥

tasyA gAtre nipatitA teSAM dRSTira mahAtmanAma sarveSAma eva bhUyiSThama Rte devaM pitAmahama ॥ 1-203-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगच्छन्त्यास तु तदा देवाः सर्वे च परमर्षयः कृतम इत्य एव तत कार्यं मेनिरे रूपसंपदा ॥ १-२०३-२९ ॥
'And when Tilottama embarked for the city of the Asuras, adorned with the wealth of her beauty, all considered the task as already fulfilled.' ॥ 1-203-29 ॥

gacchantyAsa tu tadA devAH sarve ca paramarSayaH kRtama itya eva tata kAryaM menire rUpasaMpadA ॥ 1-203-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतिलॊत्तमायां तु तदा गतायां लॊकभावनः सर्वान विसर्जयाम आस देवान ऋषिगणांश च तान ॥ १-२०३-३० ॥
'After Tilottama had departed, the great god, who is the First Cause of the Universe, dismissed all the celestial beings and the sages.' ॥ 1-203-30 ॥
