[ग] एवम उक्त्वा ततस तूर्णं जगामॊर्ध्वम अनिन्दिता स तु राजा पुनर भूमौ तत्रैव निपपात ह ॥ १-१६२-१ ॥
'The Gandharva continued, 'Having said this, Tapati with faultless features ascended into the skies. The monarch once again fell to the earth in despair.' ॥ 1-162-1 ॥
english translation
[ga] evama uktvA tatasa tUrNaM jagAmòrdhvama aninditA sa tu rAjA punara bhUmau tatraiva nipapAta ha ॥ 1-162-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअमात्यः सानुयात्रस तु तं ददर्श महावने कषितौ निपतितं काले शक्रध्वजम इवॊच्छ्रितम ॥ १-१६२-२ ॥
'His ministers and followers searched throughout the forest until they finally discovered him lying in that desolate spot. Beholding their excellent king, that mighty warrior, forsaken and prone on the ground like a fallen rainbow from the sky.' ॥ 1-162-2 ॥
english translation
amAtyaH sAnuyAtrasa tu taM dadarza mahAvane kaSitau nipatitaM kAle zakradhvajama ivòcchritama ॥ 1-162-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतं हि दृष्ट्वा महेष्वासं निरश्वं पतितं कषितौ बभूव सॊ ऽसय सचिवः संप्रदीप्त इवाग्निना ॥ १-१६२-३ ॥
'Upon seeing the fallen mighty warrior, dejected and prone on the ground, the minister became inflamed with anguish, much like a fire suddenly ignited.' ॥ 1-162-3 ॥

taM hi dRSTvA maheSvAsaM nirazvaM patitaM kaSitau babhUva sò 'saya sacivaH saMpradIpta ivAgninA ॥ 1-162-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतवरया चॊपसंगम्य सनेहाद आगतसंभ्रमः तं समुत्थापयाम आस नृपतिं काममॊहितम ॥ १-१६२-४ ॥
'Rushing forward with affection and respect, the minister lifted the best of monarchs, who lay senseless due to desire.' ॥ 1-162-4 ॥

tavarayA còpasaMgamya sanehAda AgatasaMbhramaH taM samutthApayAma Asa nRpatiM kAmamòhitama ॥ 1-162-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभूतलाद भूमिपालेशं पितेव पतितं सुतम परज्ञया वयसा चैव वृद्धः कीर्त्या दमेन च ॥ १-१६२-५ ॥
'Wise and experienced, both in years and in governance, the minister, after lifting the fallen king, found solace.' ॥ 1-162-5 ॥
