न चाहम ईशा देहस्य तस्मान नृपतिसत्तम समीपं नॊपगच्छामि न सवतन्त्रा हि यॊषितः ॥ १-१६१-१६ ॥
'I am not in control of my own body, so, O greatest of kings, I do not approach you; women are never independent.' ॥ 1-161-16 ॥
english translation
का हि सर्वेषु लॊकेषु विश्रुताभिजनं नृपम कन्या नाभिलषेन नाथं भर्तारं भक्त वत्सलम ॥ १-१६१-१७ ॥
'What girl in the three worlds would not desire you for her husband? You are kind to all your subjects, born into a noble lineage.' ॥ 1-161-17 ॥

तस्माद एवंगते काले याचस्व पितरं मम आदित्यं परणिपातेन तपसा नियमेन च ॥ १-१६१-१८ ॥
'Therefore, when the opportunity arises, approach my father Aditya with reverence, asceticism, and vows.' ॥ 1-161-18 ॥
