ता विहृत्य यथाकामं भुक्त्वा पीत्वा च भारत जग्मुर निशि गृहान एव समनुज्ञाप्य माधवीम ॥ १-१३६-६ ॥
'Having enjoyed themselves as they desired, having eaten and drunk, O Bharata (descendant of Bharat), they went home at night after taking leave of Madhavi.' ॥ 1-136-6 ॥
english translation
tA vihRtya yathAkAmaM bhuktvA pItvA ca bhArata jagmura nizi gRhAna eva samanujJApya mAdhavIma ॥ 1-136-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिषादी पञ्च पुत्रा तु तस्मिन भॊज्ये यदृच्छया अन्नार्थिनी समभ्यागात सपुत्रा कालचॊदिता ॥ १-१३६-७ ॥
'Desirous of obtaining food, there came, as though impelled by fate, to that feast, in course of her wanderings, a Nishada woman, the mother of five children, accompanied by all her sons.' ॥ 1-136-7 ॥

niSAdI paJca putrA tu tasmina bhòjye yadRcchayA annArthinI samabhyAgAta saputrA kAlacòditA ॥ 1-136-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसा पीत्वा मदिरां मत्ता सपुत्रा मदविह्वला सह सर्वैः सुतै राजंस तस्मिन्न एव निवेशने सुष्वाप विगतज्ञाना मृतकल्पा नराधिप ॥ १-१३६-८ ॥
'O king, she, and her children, intoxicated with the wine they drank, became incapable. Deprived of consciousness and more dead than alive, she with all her sons lay down in that mansion to sleep.' ॥ 1-136-8 ॥
english translation
sA pItvA madirAM mattA saputrA madavihvalA saha sarvaiH sutai rAjaMsa tasminna eva nivezane suSvApa vigatajJAnA mRtakalpA narAdhipa ॥ 1-136-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ परवाते तुमुले निशि सुप्ते जने विभॊ तद उपादीपयद भीमः शेते यत्र पुरॊचनः ॥ १-१३६-९ ॥
'Then, in the tumultuous first part of the night, when people were asleep, O lord, Bhima set fire to the place where Purochana was sleeping.' ॥ 1-136-9 ॥

atha paravAte tumule nizi supte jane vibhò tada upAdIpayada bhImaH zete yatra puròcanaH ॥ 1-136-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः परतापः सुमहाञ शब्दश चैव विभावसॊः परादुरासीत तदा तेन बुबुधे सजनव्रजः ॥ १-१३६-१० ॥
'The son of Pandu then ignited the door of the lac house. Subsequently, he set ablaze various sections of the mansion. Satisfied that the fire had spread throughout, the sons of Pandu, along with their mother, swiftly entered the underground passage. As the heat and the roar of the fire intensified, it roused the townspeople from their slumber.' ॥ 1-136-10 ॥
