[दुर] मध्यस्थः सततं भीष्मॊ दरॊणपुत्रॊ मयि सथितः यतः पुत्रस ततॊ दरॊणॊ भविता नात्र सांशयः ।। १-१३०-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'Duryodhana answered, "Bhishma holds no excessive affection for either side and will, therefore, remain neutral in any dispute. Aswatthaman, the son of Drona, is on my side. There is no doubt that where the son stands, the father will also be."' ।। 1-130-16 ।।

english translation

[dura] madhyasthaH satataM bhISmò daròNaputrò mayi sathitaH yataH putrasa tatò daròNò bhavitA nAtra sAMzayaH || 1-130-16 ||

'Bound by duty to us, our ally remains hidden from the others. And indeed, not one among them is capable of thwarting our cause for the sake of the Pandavas.' ।। 1-130-18 ।।

'Ensure that they depart for there today itself. By doing so, O father, extinguish the grief that burns within me like a blazing fire, steals my sleep, and pierces my heart like a dreadful dart.' ।। 1-130-20 ।।
