ततः समाप्तभूयिष्ठे तस्मिन कर्माणि भारत मन्दी भूते समाजे च वादित्रस्य च निस्वने ॥ १-१२५-२६ ॥
'And, O Bharata, as the exhibition neared its end, the fervor of the spectators subsided, and the instruments' melodies faded.' ॥ 1-125-26 ॥
english translation
दवारदेशात समुद्भूतॊ माहात्म्य बलसूचकः वज्रनिष्पेष सदृशः शुश्रुवे भुजनिस्वनः ॥ १-१२५-२७ ॥
'From the direction of the gates emerged a sound indicative of great power, resembling the strike of a thunderbolt, resonating with the clang of arms.' ॥ 1-125-27 ॥

दीर्यन्ते किं नु गिरयः किंस्विद भूमिर विदीर्यते किंस्विद आपूर्यते वयॊम जलभार घनैर घनैः ॥ १-१२५-२८ ॥
'And, O king, upon hearing this sound, the assembled multitude immediately pondered, 'Are the mountains splitting, or is the earth itself tearing apart? Or is the sky echoing with the rumble of gathering clouds?' ॥ 1-125-28 ॥

रङ्गस्यैवं मतिर अभूत कषणेन वसुधाधिप दवारं चाभिमुखाः सर्वे बभूवुः परेक्षकास तदा ॥ १-१२५-२९ ॥
'And then all the spectators turned their eyes towards the gate.' ॥ 1-125-29 ॥

पञ्चभिर भरातृभिः पार्थैर दरॊणः परिवृतॊ बभौ पञ्च तारेण संयुक्तः सावित्रेणेव चन्द्रमाः ॥ १-१२५-३० ॥
'Drona stood encircled by the five brothers, sons of Pritha, resembling the moon amidst the five-star constellation Hasta.' ॥ 1-125-30 ॥
