यद इदं दृश्यते किं चिद भूतं सथावरजङ्गमम पुनः संक्षिप्यते सर्वं जगत पराप्ते युगक्षये ॥ १-१-३६॥
'Whatever is seen here, the entire manifest world of moving and non-moving beings, is once again gathered back into its essence at the end of the cosmic cycle.' ॥ 1-1-36 ॥
english translation
yada idaM dRzyate kiM cida bhUtaM sathAvarajaGgamama punaH saMkSipyate sarvaM jagata parApte yugakSaye ॥ 1-1-36॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथर्ताव ऋतुलिङ्गानि नानारूपाणि पर्यये दृश्यन्ते तानि तान्य एव तथा भावा युगादिषु ॥ १-१-३७॥
'After the conclusion of each Yuga, everything becomes intertwined once more. With the dawn of new Yugas, a cosmic renewal unfolds, akin to the orderly succession of diverse fruits following the natural rhythm of seasons on Earth.' ॥ 1-1-37 ॥
english translation
yathartAva RtuliGgAni nAnArUpANi paryaye dRzyante tAni tAnya eva tathA bhAvA yugAdiSu ॥ 1-1-37॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवम एतद अनाद्य अन्तं भूतसंहार कारकम अनादि निधनं लॊके चक्रं संपरिवर्तते ॥ १-१-३८॥
'So perpetually revolves the wheel of existence in the world, without a definite start or end, ushering in the dissolution and renewal of all things.' ॥ 1-1-38 ॥
english translation
evama etada anAdya antaM bhUtasaMhAra kArakama anAdi nidhanaM lòke cakraM saMparivartate ॥ 1-1-38॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतरयस तरिंशत सहस्राणि तरयस तरिंशच छतानि च तरयस तरिंशच च देवानां सृष्टिः संक्षेप लक्षणा ॥ १-१-३९॥
'The generation of Devas, in brief, was thirty-three thousand, thirty-three hundred and thirty-three.' ॥ 1-1-39 ॥

tarayasa tariMzata sahasrANi tarayasa tariMzaca chatAni ca tarayasa tariMzaca ca devAnAM sRSTiH saMkSepa lakSaNA ॥ 1-1-39॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदिवः पुत्रॊ बृहद भानुश चक्षुर आत्मा विभावसुः सविता च ऋचीकॊ ऽरकॊ भानुर आशा वहॊ रविः ॥ १-१-४०॥
'The sons of Div were Brihadbhanu, Chakshus, Atma Vibhavasu, Savita, Richika, Arka, Bhanu, Asavaha, and Ravi.' ॥ 1-1-40 ॥
