भवितव्यं तथा तच च नातः शॊचितुम अर्हसि दैवं परज्ञा विशेषेण कॊ निवर्तितुम अर्हति ।। १-१-१८६ ।।

sanskrit

'Furthermore, there is no need for you to sorrow over what is destined to occur. After all, who can alter the course of fate with their wisdom?'।। 1-1-186 ।।

english translation

bhavitavyaM tathA taca ca nAtaH zòcituma arhasi daivaM parajJA vizeSeNa kò nivartituma arhati || 1-1-186 ||

'No one can deviate from the path ordained by the Creator. Everything in this world has its foundation in time, and the dualities of existence and non-existence are inherent in joy and sorrow.'।। 1-1-187 ।।

'Time created all things and Time destroys all creatures. It is Time that burns creatures and it is Time that extinguishes the fire.'।। 1-1-188 ।।

kAlaH pacati bhUtAni kAlaH saMharati parajAH nirdahantaM parajAH kAlaM kAlaH zamayate punaH || 1-1-188 ||

'Every circumstance, whether virtuous or otherwise, across the three realms, is a consequence of Time. Time both abbreviates all things and gives rise to new beginnings.'।। 1-1-189 ।।

'Time moves incessantly over everything without delay. Understanding that all that has transpired, all that is yet to unfold, and everything in the current moment are products of Time, it is not fitting for you to abandon your reasoning.'।। 1-1-190 ।।
