[स] अत्रॊपनिषदं पुण्यां कृष्णद्वैपायनॊ ऽबरवीत भारताध्ययनात पुण्याद अपि पादम अधीयतः शरद्दधानस्य पूयन्ते सर्वपापान्य अशेषतः ।। १-१-१९१ ।।

'Sauti conveyed, 'In this manner, the wise son of Gavalgana consoled the sorrowful Dhritarashtra, whose heart was weighed down by grief for his sons, ultimately bringing tranquility to his troubled mind. Based on these incidents, Dwaipayana composed a sacred Upanishad, which has been shared with the world by knowledgeable and revered bards in the Puranas they authored.''।। 1-1-191 ।।

'The contemplation of the Bharata is a virtuous endeavor. Reading even a single verse with faith leads to the complete purification of one's sins. Within its verses, Devas, divine sages, and pure Brahmarshis renowned for their virtuous deeds are mentioned, along with Yakshas and mighty Nagas.'।। 1-1-192 ।।
