अग्निहॊत्रं तरयॊ वेदा यज्ञाश च सहदक्षिणाः सर्वाण्य एतान्य अपत्यस्य कलां नार्हन्ति षॊडशीम ॥ १-९४-६० ॥

sanskrit

'While sacrifices to the fire and mastery of the three Vedas certainly accrue eternal religious merit, none of these achieve even a sixteenth of the merit that is gained through the birth of a son, in terms of spiritual significance.' ॥ 1-94-60 ॥

english translation

agnihòtraM tarayò vedA yajJAza ca sahadakSiNAH sarvANya etAnya apatyasya kalAM nArhanti SòDazIma ॥ 1-94-60 ॥
