आत्मदॊषैर नियच्छन्ति सर्वे दुःखसुखे जनाः मन्ये दुश्चरितं ते ऽसति यस्येयं निष्कृतिः कृता ।। १-७३-२९ ।।

sanskrit

'Speaking with a voice choked with grief, she said, "O daughter, the fortunes and misfortunes that people encounter are often the result of their actions. Thus, you must have committed some fault, which has led to this situation."' ।। 1-73-29 ।।

english translation

AtmadòSaira niyacchanti sarve duHkhasukhe janAH manye duzcaritaM te 'sati yasyeyaM niSkRtiH kRtA || 1-73-29 ||
