यॊगेन बहुधात्मानं कृत्वा तिष्ठामि मूर्तिषु अग्निहॊत्रेषु सत्रेषु करियास्व अथ मखेषु च ।। १-७-६ ।।

'By the power of asceticism, I have multiplied myself and am present in diverse forms. I reside in the daily home ceremonies, enduring sacrificial rituals that span years, in the sacred spaces where various rites, including marriages, are performed, and in other places of worship.'।। 1-7-6 ।।

yògena bahudhAtmAnaM kRtvA tiSThAmi mUrtiSu agnihòtreSu satreSu kariyAsva atha makheSu ca || 1-7-6 ||

'The Devas and ancestors are appeased when butter is poured onto my flame in accordance with the injunctions laid out in the Vedas.'।। 1-7-7 ।।

vedòktena vidhAnena mayi yada dhUyate haviH devatAH pitaraza caiva tena tRptA bhavanti vai || 1-7-7 ||

आपॊ देवगणाः सर्वे आपः पितृगणास तथा दर्शश च पौर्णमासश च देवानां पितृभिः सह ।। १-७-८ ।।

'The Devas are synonymous with the waters, just as the Pitris are also associated with the waters. In the rituals known as Darshas and Purnamasas, the Devas and the Pitris share an equal claim. '।। 1-7-8 ।।

Apò devagaNAH sarve ApaH pitRgaNAsa tathA darzaza ca paurNamAsaza ca devAnAM pitRbhiH saha || 1-7-8 ||

'The deities are the ancestors, and the ancestors are also the deities. Therefore, they are worshipped as one, yet separately during specific occasions.'।। 1-7-9 ।।
