यॊ ऽनयथा सन्तम आत्मानम अन्यथा परतिपद्यते किं तेन न कृतं पापं चॊरेणात्मापहारिणा ॥ १-६८-२६ ॥
'One who misrepresents oneself, deviating from the truth, will eventually meet consequences. What sin or wrongdoing hasn't been committed by someone who robs himself? ' ॥ 1-68-26 ॥
english translation
एकॊ ऽहम अस्मीति च मन्यसे तवं; न हृच्छयं वेत्सि मुनिं पुराणम यॊ वेदिता कर्मणः पापकस्य; यस्यान्तिके तवं वृजिनं करॊषि ॥ १-६८-२७ ॥
'You might believe that only you are aware of your actions, but aren't you aware that the Ancient, Omniscient One (Narayana) resides within your heart? He is privy to all your misdeeds; thus, you commit sins under His watchful gaze. ' ॥ 1-68-27 ॥
english translation
मन्यते पापकं कृत्वा न कश चिद वेत्ति माम इति विदन्ति चैनं देवाश च सवश चैवान्तर पूरुषः ॥ १-६८-२८ ॥
'Thinking, "I have committed a sinful act; no one else knows," one may assume that I am not aware of it. However, both the gods and the inner self, the all-encompassing being, are fully aware of it. ' ॥ 1-68-28 ॥

आदित्यचन्द्राव अनिलानलौ च; दयौर भूमिर आपॊ हृदयं यमश च अहश च रात्रिश च उभे च संध्ये; धर्मश च जानाति नरस्य वृत्तम ॥ १-६८-२९ ॥
'The Sun, the Moon, the Air, the Fire, the Earth, the Sky, Water, the heart, Yama, the day, the night, both twilights, and Dharma, all witness the acts of man. ' ॥ 1-68-29 ॥

यमॊ वैवस्वतस तस्य निर्यातयति दुष्कृतम हृदि सथितः कर्म साक्षी कषेत्रज्ञॊ यस्य तुष्यति ॥ १-६८-३० ॥
'Yama, the son of Surya, takes no account of the sins of him with whom Narayana the witness of all acts, is gratified. ' ॥ 1-68-30 ॥
