रूपयौवन माधुर्यचेष्टित समितभाषितैः लॊभयित्वा वरारॊहे तपसः संनिवर्तय ॥ १-६५-२६ ॥
'Proceed to disrupt his intense penances by captivating him with your allure, youthful grace, charm, skills, smiles, and eloquence, thereby securing my favor, O enchanting one.' ॥ 1-65-26 ॥

rUpayauvana mAdhuryaceSTita samitabhASitaiH lòbhayitvA varAròhe tapasaH saMnivartaya ॥ 1-65-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[म] महातेजाः स भगवान सदैव च महातपाः कॊपनश च तथा हय एनं जानाति भगवान अपि ॥ १-६५-२७ ॥
'Upon hearing this, Menaka responded, 'The renowned Viswamitra possesses immense energy and is a formidable ascetic. It is well known that he also has a quick temper." ॥ 1-65-27 ॥

[ma] mahAtejAH sa bhagavAna sadaiva ca mahAtapAH kòpanaza ca tathA haya enaM jAnAti bhagavAna api ॥ 1-65-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेजसस तपसश चैव कॊपस्य च महात्मनः तवम अप्य उद्विजसे यस्य नॊद्विजेयम अहं कथम ॥ १-६५-२८ ॥
'The might, austerity, and anger of the great soul cause even you to worry; how could I not feel the same?' ॥ 1-65-28 ॥

tejasasa tapasaza caiva kòpasya ca mahAtmanaH tavama apya udvijase yasya nòdvijeyama ahaM kathama ॥ 1-65-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहाभागं वसिष्ठं यः पुत्रैर इष्टैर वययॊजयत कषत्रे जातश च यः पूर्वम अभवद बराह्मणॊ बलात ॥ १-६५-२९ ॥
'He it was who made even the illustrious Vasishtha bear the pangs of witnessing the premature death of his children. He was who, though at first born as Kshatriya, subsequently became a Brahmana by his ascetic penances.' ॥ 1-65-29 ॥

mahAbhAgaM vasiSThaM yaH putraira iSTaira vayayòjayata kaSatre jAtaza ca yaH pUrvama abhavada barAhmaNò balAta ॥ 1-65-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशौचार्थं यॊ नदीं चक्रे दुर्गमां बहुभिर जलैः यां तां पुण्यतमां लॊके कौशिकीति विदुर जनाः ॥ १-६५-३० ॥
'He it was who, for purposes of his ablutions, created a deep river that can with difficulty be forded, and which sacred stream is known by the name of the Kausiki.' ॥ 1-65-30 ॥

zaucArthaM yò nadIM cakre durgamAM bahubhira jalaiH yAM tAM puNyatamAM lòke kauzikIti vidura janAH ॥ 1-65-30 ॥
