बभार यत्रास्य पुरा काले दुर्गे महात्मनः दारान मतङ्गॊ धर्मात्मा राजर्षिर वयाधतां गतः ॥ १-६५-३१ ॥
'It was Viswamitra whose wife, in a season of distress, was maintained by the royal sage Matanga (Trisanku) who was then living under a father's curse as a hunter.' ॥ 1-65-31 ॥
english translation
babhAra yatrAsya purA kAle durge mahAtmanaH dArAna mataGgò dharmAtmA rAjarSira vayAdhatAM gataH ॥ 1-65-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअतीतकाले दुर्भक्षे यत्रैत्य पुनर आश्रमम मुनिः पारेति नद्या वै नाम चक्रे तदा परभुः ॥ १-६५-३२ ॥
'After the famine had passed, it was Viswamitra who renamed the stream, where his hermitage was located, from Kausik to Para upon his return.' ॥ 1-65-32 ॥
english translation
atItakAle durbhakSe yatraitya punara Azramama muniH pAreti nadyA vai nAma cakre tadA parabhuH ॥ 1-65-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमतङ्गं याजयां चक्रे यत्र परीतमनाः सवयम तवं च सॊमं भयाद यस्य गतः पातुं शुरेश्वर ॥ १-६५-३३ ॥
'It was Viswamitra who in return for the services of Matanga, himself became the latter's priest for purposes of a sacrifice. The lord of the celestials himself went through fear to drink the Soma juice.' ॥ 1-65-33 ॥

mataGgaM yAjayAM cakre yatra parItamanAH savayama tavaM ca sòmaM bhayAda yasya gataH pAtuM zurezvara ॥ 1-65-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअति नक्षत्रवंशांश च करुद्धॊ नक्षत्रसंपदा परति शरवणपूर्वाणि नक्षत्राणि ससर्ज यः ॥ १-६५-३४ ॥
'He, in great anger and possessing the wealth of the lunar dynasty, released the stars that were originally located beyond the constellation of Sharavana (Capricorn).' ॥ 1-65-34 ॥

ati nakSatravaMzAMza ca karuddhò nakSatrasaMpadA parati zaravaNapUrvANi nakSatrANi sasarja yaH ॥ 1-65-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतानि यस्य कर्माणि तस्याहं भृशम उद्विजे यथा मां न दहेत करुद्धस तथाज्ञापय मां विभॊ ॥ १-६५-३५ ॥
'He is the one who extended protection to Trisanku, afflicted by a curse from a superior. I am hesitant to approach someone with such accomplishments. O Indra, enlighten me on the measures to avoid being consumed by his wrath.' ॥ 1-65-35 ॥
