ततॊ लब्धवरा परीता सत्रीभावगुणभूषिता जगाम सह संसर्गम ऋषिणाद्भुत कर्मणा ॥ १-५७-६६ ॥
'Adorned with the virtues of a chaste woman, she, having obtained the desired boon, then went forth to meet the sage whose actions were truly extraordinary.' ॥ 1-57-66 ॥
english translation
तेन गन्धवतीत्य एव नामास्याः परथितं भुवि ततॊ यॊजनगन्धेति तस्या नाम परिश्रुतम ॥ १-५७-६७ ॥
'From that time onwards, she was recognized among humans as Gandhavati, the one with a sweet fragrance, and her scent could be discerned from a yojana away.' ॥ 1-57-67 ॥

पराशरॊ ऽपि भगवाञ जगाम सवं निवेशनम इति सत्यवती हृष्टा लब्ध्वा वरम अनुत्तमम ॥ १-५७-६८ ॥
'Parashar having thus addressed, departed for his abode. Satyavati, delighted, having obtained the excellent boon, was filled with joy.' ॥ 1-57-68 ॥

पराशरेण संयुक्ता सद्यॊ गर्भं सुषाव सा जज्ञे च यमुना दवीपे पाराशर्यः सवीर्यवान ॥ १-५७-६९ ॥
'And Satyavati gratified with having obtained the excellent boon in consequence of which she became sweet-scented and her virginity remained unsullied conceived through Parasara's embraces.' ॥ 1-57-69 ॥

स मातरम उपस्थाय तपस्य एव मनॊ दधे समृतॊ ऽहं दर्शयिष्यामि कृत्येष्व इति च सॊ ऽबरवीत ॥ १-५७-७० ॥
'And she brought forth the very day, on an island in the Yamuna, the child begot upon her by Parasara and gifted with great energy. And the child, with the permission of his mother, set his mind on asceticism.' ॥ 1-57-70 ॥
