तत्र ते बराह्मणार्थाय बकं हत्वा महाबलम बराह्मणैः सहिता जग्मुः पाञ्चालानां पुरं ततः ॥ १-५५-२१ ॥

'In this place, Bhima, possessing powerful arms, encountered Vaka, a formidable man-eating Rakshasa. Swiftly, Bhima, the son of Pandu and a formidable man himself, vanquished Vaka with his immense strength, ensuring the safety and relief of the citizens. Subsequently, upon learning that the princess of Panchala, Krishna, was choosing a husband from the gathered princes, the Pandavas journeyed to Panchala, where they successfully won her hand in marriage.' ॥ 1-55-21 ॥
