स तं गत्वा कषणेनैव पर्वतं वचनात पितुः अमुञ्चन महतीं शाखां सस्वनां तत्र खेचरः ॥ १-१६-२१ ॥
'And going according to the directions of his father to that mountain almost in a moment, that ranger of the skies let fall the gigantic bough. And it fell with a great noise.' ॥ 1-26-21 ॥
english translation
sa taM gatvA kaSaNenaiva parvataM vacanAta pituH amuJcana mahatIM zAkhAM sasvanAM tatra khecaraH ॥ 1-16-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपक्षानिलहतश चास्य पराकम्पत स शैलराट मुमॊच पुष्पवर्षं च समागलित पादपः ॥ १-१६-२२ ॥
'And that Prince of mountains shook, struck with the storm raised by Garuda's wings. And the trees thereon dropped showers of flowers.' ॥ 1-26-22 ॥
english translation
pakSAnilahataza cAsya parAkampata sa zailarATa mumòca puSpavarSaM ca samAgalita pAdapaH ॥ 1-16-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशृङ्गाणि च वयशीर्यन्त गिरेस तस्य समन्ततः मणिकाञ्चनचित्राणि शॊभयन्ति महागिरिम ॥ १-१६-२३ ॥
'The peaks, adorned with gems and gold, which graced the majestic mountain, became dislodged and cascaded down on all sides.' ॥ 1-26-23 ॥
english translation
zRGgANi ca vayazIryanta giresa tasya samantataH maNikAJcanacitrANi zòbhayanti mahAgirima ॥ 1-16-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशाखिनॊ बहवश चापि शाखयाभिहतास तया काञ्चनैः कुसुमैर भान्ति विद्युत्वन्त इवाम्बुदाः ॥ १-१६-२४ ॥
'And the falling bough struck down numerous trees which, with golden flowers amid dark foliage, shone there like clouds charged with lightning.' ॥ 1-26-24 ॥

zAkhinò bahavaza cApi zAkhayAbhihatAsa tayA kAJcanaiH kusumaira bhAnti vidyutvanta ivAmbudAH ॥ 1-16-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptते हेमविकचा भूयॊ युक्ताः पर्वतधातुभिः वयराजञ शाखिनस तत्र सूर्यांशुप्रतिरञ्जिताः ॥ १-१६-२५ ॥
'And those trees, bright as gold, falling upon the ground and, dyed with mountain metals, shone as if they were bathed in the rays of the sun.' ॥ 1-26-25 ॥

te hemavikacA bhUyò yuktAH parvatadhAtubhiH vayarAjaJa zAkhinasa tatra sUryAMzupratiraJjitAH ॥ 1-16-25 ॥
