ततः सचक्रे महद आननं तदा; निषादमार्गं परतिरुध्य पक्षिराट ततॊ निषादास तवरिताः परवव्रजुर; यतॊ मुखं तस्य भुजंगभॊजितः ॥ १-१४-१२ ॥
'And then that lord of birds obstructed the principal thoroughfares of the town of the Nishadas by his mouth, increasing its orifice at will. And the Nishadas began to fly in great haste in the direction of the open mouth of the great serpent-eater.' ॥ 1-24-12 ॥
