शतेनैकं च विव्याध शतं चैकेन पत्त्रिणा वयसवस ते ऽपतन्न अग्नौ साक्षात कालहता इव ॥ १-२१९-२६ ॥
'Sometimes piercing a hundred creatures with one arrow, and at other times targeting a single creature with a hundred arrows, Arjuna moved swiftly in his chariot.' ॥ 1-219-26 ॥

न चालभन्त ते शर्म रॊधःसु विषमेषु च पितृदेव निवासेषु संतापश चाप्य अजायत ॥ १-२१९-२७ ॥
'The creatures, deprived of life, began to fall into Agni's mouth, as if struck down by death itself. Whether on riverbanks, uneven plains, or crematoriums, wherever they sought shelter, they found no relief from the relentless heat.' ॥ 1-219-27 ॥

भूतसंघ सहस्राश च दीनाश चक्रुर महास्वनम रुरुवुर वारणाश चैव तथैव मृगपक्षिणः तेन शब्देन वित्रेसुर गङ्गॊदधि चरा झषाः ॥ १-२१९-२८ ॥
'Countless creatures roared in agony, while elephants, deer, and wolves cried out in distress. The sound even frightened the fish in the Ganges and sea, as well as the diverse tribes of Vidyadharas living in that forest.' ॥ 1-219-28 ॥

न हय अर्जुनं महाबाहुं नापि कृष्णं महाबलम निरीक्षितुं वै शक्नॊति कश चिद यॊद्धुं कुतः पुनः ॥ १-२१९-२९ ॥
'O mighty-armed one, not only could no one dare to battle with them, but none could even gaze upon Arjuna and Janardana of dark hue.' ॥ 1-219-29 ॥

एकायनगता ये ऽपि निष्पतन्त्य अत्र के चन राक्षसान दानवान नागाञ जघ्ने चक्रेण तान हरिः ॥ १-२१९-३० ॥
'Hari swiftly slew those Rakshasas, Danavas, and Nagas who rushed at him in groups, using his discus.' ॥ 1-219-30 ॥
