देवराजं तदा यान्तं सह देवैर उदीक्ष्य तु वासुदेवार्जुनौ वीरौ सिंहनादं विनेदतुः ॥ १-२१९-२१ ॥
'Then, upon seeing the chief of the celestials and all the gods retreat, Vasudeva and Arjuna, those heroes, let out a resounding roar like lions.' ॥ 1-219-21 ॥
english translation
देवराजे गते राजन परहृष्टौ कृष्ण पाण्डवौ निर्विशङ्कं पुनर दावं दाहयाम आसतुस तदा ॥ १-२१९-२२ ॥
'After Indra departed, O monarch, Kesava and Arjuna rejoiced greatly. Fearlessly, these heroes then aided in extinguishing the forest fire.' ॥ 1-219-22 ॥
english translation
स मारुत इवाभ्राणि नाशयित्वार्जुनः सुरान वयधमच छरसंपातैः पराणिनः खाण्डवालयान ॥ १-२१९-२३ ॥
'Arjuna scattered the celestial beings like the wind scatters clouds. With showers of his arrows, he slew countless creatures dwelling in Khandava.' ॥ 1-219-23 ॥

न च सम किं चिच छक्नॊति भूतं निश्चरितं ततः संछिद्यमानम इषुभिर अस्यता सव्यसाचिना ॥ १-२१९-२४ ॥
'None of the innumerable creatures could escape the burning forest cut off by Arjuna's arrows.' ॥ 1-219-24 ॥

नाशकंस तत्र भूतानि महान्त्य अपि रणे ऽरजुनम निरीक्षितुम अमॊघेषुं करिष्यन्ति कुतॊ रणम ॥ १-२१९-२५ ॥
'None of the formidable creatures assembled there dared to confront Arjuna, whose weapons never missed their mark.' ॥ 1-219-25 ॥
