कृष्णश च सुमहातेजाश चक्रेणारि निहा तदा दैत्यदानव संघानां चकार कदनं महत ॥ १-२१८-२६ ॥
'Krishna, the destroyer of enemies, endowed with great power, inflicted a significant massacre upon the Daityas and Danavas using his discus.' ॥ 1-218-26 ॥

kRSNaza ca sumahAtejAza cakreNAri nihA tadA daityadAnava saMghAnAM cakAra kadanaM mahata ॥ 1-218-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथापरे शरैर विद्धाश चक्रवेगेरितास तदा वेलाम इव समासाद्य वयातिष्ठन्त महौजसः ॥ १-२१८-२७ ॥
'Numerous Asuras of immense power, pierced by Krishna's arrows and struck by the impact of his discus, lay motionless like driftwood abandoned on the shore after being battered by the force of the waves.' ॥ 1-218-27 ॥

athApare zaraira viddhAza cakravegeritAsa tadA velAma iva samAsAdya vayAtiSThanta mahaujasaH ॥ 1-218-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः शक्रॊ ऽभिसंक्रुद्धस तरिदशानां महेश्वरः पाण्डुरं गजम आस्थाय ताव उभौ समभिद्रवत ॥ १-२१८-२८ ॥
'Then Sakra, the lord of the celestials, mounted on his white elephant, charged at those heroes. Grasping his thunderbolt, which never failed to strike its mark, he hurled it with tremendous force.' ॥ 1-218-28 ॥

tataH zakrò 'bhisaMkruddhasa taridazAnAM mahezvaraH pANDuraM gajama AsthAya tAva ubhau samabhidravata ॥ 1-218-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअशनिं गृह्य तरसा वज्रम अस्त्रम अवासृजत हताव एताव इति पराह सुरान असुरसूदनः ॥ १-२१८-२९ ॥
'Seizing his thunderbolt with great strength, the slayer of demons (Surasudana) hurled it forcefully, declaring, "These two are slain!"' ॥ 1-218-29 ॥

azaniM gRhya tarasA vajrama astrama avAsRjata hatAva etAva iti parAha surAna asurasUdanaH ॥ 1-218-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः समुद्यतां दृष्ट्वा देवेन्द्रेण महाशनिम जगृहुः सर्वशस्त्राणि सवानि सवानि सुरास तदा ॥ १-२१८-३० ॥
'Beholding the fierce thunderbolt about to be hurled by their chief, the celestials all took up their respective weapons.' ॥ 1-218-30 ॥

tataH samudyatAM dRSTvA devendreNa mahAzanima jagRhuH sarvazastrANi savAni savAni surAsa tadA ॥ 1-218-30 ॥
