तथैवॊरग संघाताः पाण्डवस्य समीपतः उत्सृजन्तॊ विषं घॊरं निश्चेरुर जवलिताननाः ॥ १-२१८-२१ ॥
'Similarly, countless Nagas with fiery faces descended from above, approaching Arjuna while spewing the most potent venom.' ॥ 1-218-21 ॥
english translation
तांश चकर्त शरैः पार्थः सरॊषान दृश्यखे चरान विवशाश चापतन दीप्तं देहाभावाय पावकम ॥ १-२१८-२२ ॥
'Beholding them approach, Arjuna cut them into pieces using arrows steeped in the fire of his wrath. Then those birds and snakes, deprived of life, fell into the burning element below.' ॥ 1-218-22 ॥
english translation
ततः सुराः सगन्धर्वा यक्षराक्षस पन्नगाः उत्पेतुर नादम अतुलम उत्सृजन्तॊ रणार्थिणः ॥ १-२१८-२३ ॥
'And countless Asuras, along with Gandharvas, Yakshas, Rakshasas, and Nagas, eager for battle, emitted terrifying cries as they approached.' ॥ 1-218-23 ॥

अयः कणप चक्राश्म भुशुण्ड्य उद्यतबाहवः कृष्ण पार्थौ जिघांसन्तः करॊधसंमूर्च्छितौजसः ॥ १-२१८-२४ ॥
'Armed with devices that discharged iron balls and bullets, along with catapults for hurling massive stones and rockets, they advanced with heightened vigor and strength, determined to strike Krishna and Arjuna in their wrathful pursuit.' ॥ 1-218-24 ॥

तेषाम अभिव्याहरतां शस्त्रवर्षणं च मुञ्चताम परममाथॊत्तमाङ्गानि बीभत्सुर निशितैः शरैः ॥ १-२१८-२५ ॥
'But though they rained a perfect shower of weapons, Vibhatsu, addressing them reproachfully, struck off their heads with his sharp arrows.' ॥ 1-218-25 ॥
