तथैवॊरग संघाताः पाण्डवस्य समीपतः उत्सृजन्तॊ विषं घॊरं निश्चेरुर जवलिताननाः ।। १-२१८-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'Similarly, countless Nagas with fiery faces descended from above, approaching Arjuna while spewing the most potent venom.' ।। 1-218-21 ।।

'Beholding them approach, Arjuna cut them into pieces using arrows steeped in the fire of his wrath. Then those birds and snakes, deprived of life, fell into the burning element below.' ।। 1-218-22 ।।
