तेनेन्द्राशनि मेघानां वीर्यौजस तद्विनाशितम जलधाराश च ताः शेषं जग्मुर नेशुश च विद्युतः ॥ १-२१८-१६ ॥
'With that weapon, the potency and vigor of Indra's thunderbolt and those clouds were annihilated. The downpours of rain carried by those clouds were completely dried up, and the lightning that flickered amidst them was also extinguished.' ॥ 1-218-16 ॥

कषणेन चाभवद वयॊम संप्रशान्त रजस तमः सुखशीतानिल गुणं परकृतिस्थार्क मण्डलम ॥ १-२१८-१७ ॥
'In an instant, the atmosphere became calm, free from agitation, darkness, and the heat of the sun, with qualities of cool, pleasant air.' ॥ 1-218-17 ॥

निष्प्रतीकार हृष्टश च हुतभुग विविधाकृतिः परजज्वालातुलार्चिष्मान सवनादैः पूरयञ जगत ॥ १-२१८-१८ ॥
'The fire god, joyful and without opposition, took on various forms, Blazed with incomparable flames, filling the world with his roars.' ॥ 1-218-18 ॥

कृष्णाभ्यां रक्षितं दृष्ट्वा तं च दावम अहं कृताः समुत्पेतुर अथाकाशं सुपर्णाद्याः पतत्रिणः ॥ १-२१८-१९ ॥
'Then many birds of the Garuda tribe, adorned with splendid feathers, seeing that the forest was protected by Krishna and Arjuna, descended from the upper skies filled with pride.' ॥ 1-218-19 ॥
