शशाप तं च संक्रुद्धॊ बीभत्सुर जिह्मगामिनम पावकॊ वासुदेवश च अप्रतिष्ठॊ भवेद इति ॥ १-२१८-११ ॥
'And the enraged Bibhatsu cursed him, the crooked one, As Pavaka and Vasudeva, say, 'May you become without a resting place.'' ॥ 1-218-11 ॥
english translation
zazApa taM ca saMkruddhò bIbhatsura jihmagAminama pAvakò vAsudevaza ca apratiSThò bhaveda iti ॥ 1-218-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ जिष्णुः सहस्राक्षं खं वितत्येषुभिः शितैः यॊधयाम आस संक्रुद्धॊ वञ्चनां ताम अनुस्मरन ॥ १-२१८-१२ ॥
'And Jishnu, recalling the deception played on him, grew furious. He covered the sky with a barrage of arrows, intending to engage with the thousand-eyed adversary.' ॥ 1-218-12 ॥

tatò jiSNuH sahasrAkSaM khaM vitatyeSubhiH zitaiH yòdhayAma Asa saMkruddhò vaJcanAM tAma anusmarana ॥ 1-218-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवराड अपि तं दृष्ट्वा संरब्धम इव फल्गुनम सवम अस्त्रम असृजद दीप्तं यत ततानाखिलं नभः ॥ १-२१८-१३ ॥
'The chief of the celestials, seeing Arjuna in anger, also sought to engage in battle with him. He hurled his own fierce weapons, covering the vast expanse of the sky.' ॥ 1-218-13 ॥

devarADa api taM dRSTvA saMrabdhama iva phalgunama savama astrama asRjada dIptaM yata tatAnAkhilaM nabhaH ॥ 1-218-13 ॥

'Then the winds, making a roar and agitating all the oceans, brought together masses of clouds in the sky, charged with torrents of rain.' ॥ 1-218-14 ॥

tatò vAyura mahAghòSaH kaSòbhayana sarvasAgarAna viyatsthò 'janayana meghAJa jaladhArA muca AkulAna ॥ 1-218-14 ॥

'The dense clouds started emitting thunder and terrifying lightning bolts accompanied by thunderclaps. Arjuna, skilled in means, then launched the powerful Vayavya weapon, invoking it with appropriate mantras to disperse those clouds.' ॥ 1-218-15 ॥
