इच्छन्न अपचितिं कर्तुं भृगूणां भृगुसत्तमः सर्वलॊकविनाशाय तपसा महतैधितः ॥ १-१७०-११ ॥

sanskrit

'And that descendant of the Bhrigu lineage, seeking to honor his slain ancestors, committed himself to the harshest of penances with the intention of destroying the entire world.' ॥ 1-170-11 ॥

english translation

icchanna apacitiM kartuM bhRgUNAM bhRgusattamaH sarvalòkavinAzAya tapasA mahataidhitaH ॥ 1-170-11 ॥
