[बराह्मणी] नाहं गृह्णामि वस तात दृष्टीर नास्ति रुषान्विता अयं तु भर्गवॊ नूनम ऊरुजः कुपितॊ ऽदय वः ॥ १-१७०-१ ॥
'॥ Brahmin lady speaks॥: I do not accept your curse, dear son, for it is not uttered out of anger. But this son of Bhrigu, born from the thigh, is certainly enraged today.' ॥ 1-170-1 ॥
english translation
[barAhmaNI] nAhaM gRhNAmi vasa tAta dRSTIra nAsti ruSAnvitA ayaM tu bhargavò nUnama UrujaH kupitò 'daya vaH ॥ 1-170-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेन चक्षूंषि वस तात नूनं कॊपान महात्मना समरता निहतान बन्धून आदत्तानि न संशयः ॥ १-१७०-२ ॥
'Therefore, those eyes, dear son, have certainly been taken on by the great-souled one out of anger, without a doubt, to look upon his slain and consumed kinsmen.' ॥ 1-170-2 ॥
english translation
tena cakSUMSi vasa tAta nUnaM kòpAna mahAtmanA samaratA nihatAna bandhUna AdattAni na saMzayaH ॥ 1-170-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगर्भान अपि यदा यूयं भृगूणां घनत पुत्रकाः तदायम ऊरुणा गर्भॊ मया वर्षशतं धृतः ॥ १-१७०-३ ॥
'When you were destroying even the unborn children of the Bhrigus, then this child in the womb was carried by me for a hundred years.' ॥ 1-170-3 ॥
english translation
garbhAna api yadA yUyaM bhRgUNAM ghanata putrakAH tadAyama UruNA garbhò mayA varSazataM dhRtaH ॥ 1-170-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptषडङ्गश चाखिलॊ वेद इमं गर्भस्थम एव हि विवेश भृगुवंशस्य भूयः परियचिकीर्षया ॥ १-१७०-४ ॥
'And the entire six-fold Veda entered this very same one while in the womb, desiring again to continue the lineage of the Bhrigu race.' ॥ 1-170-4 ॥
english translation
SaDaGgaza cAkhilò veda imaM garbhasthama eva hi viveza bhRguvaMzasya bhUyaH pariyacikIrSayA ॥ 1-170-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसॊ ऽयं पितृवधान नूनं करॊधाद वॊ हन्तुम इच्छति तेजसा यस्य दिव्येन चक्षूंषि मुषितानि वः ॥ १-१७०-५ ॥
'Therefore, this one, due to the slaughter of his ancestors, certainly desires to slay you out of anger, by whose divine spiritual power your eyes have been blinded.' ॥ 1-170-5 ॥

sò 'yaM pitRvadhAna nUnaM karòdhAda vò hantuma icchati tejasA yasya divyena cakSUMSi muSitAni vaH ॥ 1-170-5 ॥
