अथ गर्भः स भित्त्वॊरुं बराह्मण्या निर्जगाम ह मुष्णन दृष्टीः कषत्रियाणां मध्याह्न इव भास्करः ततश चक्षुर वियुक्तास ते गिरिदुर्गेषु बभ्रमुः ।। १-१६९-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'The Kshatriyas then attempted to destroy the embryo. Upon reaching the site, they witnessed the expectant mother radiating with inherent energy. The child, emerging from her thigh and shining as bright as the midday sun, dazzled the eyes of the Kshatriyas. Deprived of their sight, the Kshatriyas wandered through the remote mountains.' ।। 1-169-21 ।।

'Distressed by their blindness, the princes were filled with sorrow and resolved to seek the protection of the blameless woman in hopes of regaining their sight.' ।। 1-169-22 ।।

'Afflicted with sorrow and blinded, like extinguished flames, those Kshatriyas addressed the illustrious lady with anxious hearts.' ।। 1-169-23 ।।
