यस्माद अभॊज्यम अन्नं मे ददाति स नराधिपः तस्मात तस्यैव मूढस्य भविष्यत्य अत्र लॊलुपा ॥ १-१६६-३१ ॥
'Because this vile king offers me unholy and inedible food, he shall himself develop a preference for such unworthy fare.' ॥ 1-166-31 ॥
english translation
सक्तॊ मानुषमांसेषु यथॊक्तः शक्तिना पुरा उद्वेजनीयॊ भूतानां चरिष्यति महीम इमाम ॥ १-१६६-३२ ॥
'Cursed by Shakti in the past to develop a taste for human flesh, the wretch will roam the earth, causing alarm and trouble to all creatures.' ॥ 1-166-32 ॥
english translation
दविर अनुव्याहृते राज्ञः स शापॊ बलवान अभूत रक्षॊबलसमाविष्टॊ विसंज्ञश चाभवत तदा ॥ १-१६६-३३ ॥
'The repetition of the curse on the king strengthened its potency, leading him to be overtaken by a Rakshasa temperament, ultimately resulting in the loss of all his senses.' ॥ 1-166-33 ॥
english translation
ततः स नृपतिश्रेष्ठॊ राक्षसॊपहतेन्द्रियः उवाच शक्तिं तं दृष्ट्वा नचिराद इव भारत ॥ १-१६६-३४ ॥
'A short while later, O Bharata, the greatest of kings, stripped of all his senses by the Rakshasa within, upon seeing Shakti who had cursed him.' ॥ 1-166-34 ॥
english translation
यस्माद असदृशः शापः परयुक्तॊ ऽयं तवया मयि तस्मात तवत्तः परवर्तिष्ये खादितुं मानुषान अहम ॥ १-१६६-३५ ॥
'Because you have cast upon me this extraordinary curse, I shall commence my life of cannibalism by consuming you.' ॥ 1-166-35 ॥
