'Once upon a time, O Partha, the illustrious king Samvarana, renowned for his beauty and immeasurable prowess, went on a hunting expedition into the depths of the mountain forests.' ।। 1-160-21 ।।

'As the king pursued deer in the forest, O Partha, his excellent horse, overcome by hunger, thirst, and fatigue, perished on the mountains.' ।। 1-160-22 ।।

'Leaving his horse behind, O Arjuna, the king roamed the mountain slopes on foot. During his wanderings, he came across a maiden of unmatched beauty with expansive eyes.' ।। 1-160-23 ।।
