संवाससमयॊ जीर्ण इत्य अभाषत तं ततः हिडिम्बा समयं कृत्वा सवां गतिं परत्यपद्यत ॥ १-१४३-३६ ॥

'Hidimba, realizing her time with Bhimasena had ended, bid farewell to the Pandavas, set a new meeting time, and left for her desired destination.' ॥ 1-143-36 ॥

saMvAsasamayò jIrNa itya abhASata taM tataH hiDimbA samayaM kRtvA savAM gatiM paratyapadyata ॥ 1-143-36 ॥

कृत्यकाल उपस्थास्ये पितॄन इति घटॊत्कचः आमन्त्र्य राक्षसश्रेष्ठः परतस्थे चॊत्तरां दिशम ॥ १-१४३-३७ ॥

'Ghatotkacha, the foremost among Rakshasas, saying "I will come when the time for action arrives," took leave of his fathers and set out towards the northern direction.' ॥ 1-143-37 ॥

स हि सृष्टॊ मघवता शक्तिहेतॊर महात्मना कर्णस्याप्रतिवीर्यस्य विनाशाय महात्मनः ॥ १-१४३-३८ ॥

'Indeed, the illustrious Indra created the mighty warrior Ghatotkacha by lending a portion of himself, making him a worthy adversary for the formidable Karna, in anticipation of the deadly dart Indra had given to Karna, which was certain to kill its target.' ॥ 1-143-38 ॥
