[य] एवम एतद यथात्थ तवं हिडिम्बे नात्र संशयः सथातव्यं तु तवया धर्मे यथा बरूयां सुमध्यमे ॥ १-१४३-१६ ॥
'Upon hearing Hidimba's words, Yudhishthira replied, "O Hidimba, your words ring true, and there is no doubt about it. However, O slender-waisted one, your actions must align with the principles you have articulated."' ॥ 1-143-16 ॥

सनातं कृताह्निकं भद्रे कृतकौतुक मङ्गलम भीमसेनं भजेथास तवं पराग अस्तगमनाद रवेः ॥ १-१४३-१७ ॥
'O blessed one, after the sun has set, once the daily rituals and auspicious ceremonies are completed, you may accept Bhimasena.' ॥ 1-143-17 ॥
english translation
अहःसु विहरानेन यथाकामं मनॊजवा अयं तव आनयितव्यस ते भीमसेनः सदा निशि ॥ १-१४३-१८ ॥
'O Hidimba, endowed with a mind as swift as thought itself, you may spend your days frolicking with Bhimasena as your heart desires. However, when the sun sets and night falls, you must faithfully bring him back to us each and every evening.' ॥ 1-143-18 ॥

[वै] तथेति तत परतिज्ञाय हिडिम्बा राक्षसी तदा भीमसेनम उपादाय ऊर्ध्वम आचक्रमे ततः ॥ १-१४३-१९ ॥
'Having pledged her agreement, the Rakshasi Hidimba took Bhimasena and ascended into the sky.' ॥ 1-143-19 ॥

शैलशृङ्गेषु रम्येषु देवतायतनेषु च मृगपक्षिविघुष्टेषु रमणीयेषु सर्वदा ॥ १-१४३-२० ॥
'Hidimba, assuming an enchanting form adorned with exquisite ornaments, carried Bhimasena to the most picturesque mountain peaks, sacred abodes of deities, and captivating landscapes where dappled herds roamed freely and the air resonated with the melodious songs of diverse birds, while she herself occasionally poured forth the most mellifluous tunes.' ॥ 1-143-20 ॥
