नागांश च मातुलांश चैव तथा चान्यान स बान्धवान पितॄंश च तारयाम आस संतत्या तपसा तथा वरतैश च विविधैर बरह्म सवाध्यायैश चानृणॊ ऽभवत ॥ १-१३-४१ ॥
'Astika not only saved the snakes but also secured the welfare of his maternal relatives and other kin, including his ancestors. Through his rigorous penance, numerous vows, and dedicated study of the Vedas, he not only liberated himself but also ensured the well-being of his forefathers. Additionally, by begetting offspring, he brought deliverance to his fathers.'॥ 1-13-41 ॥
