बद्धकक्ष्यौ महाबाहू पौरुषे पर्यवस्थितौ बृहन्तौ वाशिता हेतॊः समदाव इव कुञ्जरौ ॥ १-१२४-३१ ॥

'With their might restrained within their enclosures, the two mighty-armed warriors stood poised with determination, appearing vast like elephants restrained by a single rope.' ॥ 1-124-31 ॥

baddhakakSyau mahAbAhU pauruSe paryavasthitau bRhantau vAzitA hetòH samadAva iva kuJjarau ॥ 1-124-31 ॥

तौ परदक्षिणसव्यानि मण्डलानि महाबलौ चेरतुर निर्मलगदौ समदाव इव गॊवृषौ ॥ १-१२४-३२ ॥

'Those two mighty heroes, wielding their spotless maces, circled the arena faultlessly, akin to two infuriated elephants, following the precise rules of combat, traversing right and left.' ॥ 1-124-32 ॥

विदुरॊ धृतराष्ट्राय गान्धार्ये पाण्डवारणिः नयवेदयेतां तत सर्वं कुमाराणां विचेष्टितम ॥ १-१२४-३३ ॥

'Vidura then relayed to Dhritarashtra, Kunti, and Gandhari all the actions and accomplishments of the princes.' ॥ 1-124-33 ॥
